John the Baker returns to New York with new band Instant Asshole
John “the Baker” Eppard, the guy arrested for the lyrical content of his songs in Woodstock NY (1994) and proved the case against him unconstitutional (1995) and won an out of court settlement against the Town of Woodstock for $20,000 (1997) returns to NY after 10 years with his new band, Instant Asshole.<br style="display:none"/>
Following his freedom of speech victory, John the Baker left NY. Yet before leaving, he inspired a secret investigation against the Woodstock Police force with his song, “Cops Are FKin Little Girls”. Well, the cops were, and the State Police investigation proved it and as a result 6 Woodstock Police officers were fired for sexual misconduct.<br style="display:none"/>
John the Baker is the brother of noted Woodstock area musician Jimmy Eppard and Uncle to internationally renowned recording artists Joey Eppard (Three) and Josh Eppard (Weerd Science, former Coheed and Cambria).<br style="display:none"/>
Instant Asshole is touring the Northeast in support of their new Tank Crimes Records split vinyl release with Boston’s Mouth Sewn Shut. During this tour, Instant Asshole will play 2 special shows June 8th in John the Bakers hometown of Kingston NY at The Basement 744 Broadway.<br style="display:none"/> An early 5pm ALL AGES show with local favorites U.T.D., Stench and Soul4Sale.<br style="display:none"/> The evenings show at 9pm is 21+ and will feature Joey Eppard and Josh Eppard doing a duo as well as performances by DENT (members of THREE and Peacebomb) and an opening performance by locals Dead Unicorn.<br style="display:none"/>
Instant Asshole will also be joined by nephew Joey Eppard's band THREE in at the Velvet Lounge 915 U St NW Washington DC
